Karson With a K wrote my bio, taking me down that painful road of my romantic past, now it's my turn!
Karson is married to his best friend, Lana and has amazing twin daughters named Kourtney and Krysten from his first marriage. Yeah, the "K" thing is a little much but he has moved so many times (35
plus) that I let him keep the nickname. Karson & Lana are a true love story and I watch with envy (and a little nausea) at their partnership. The twins are in high school now and I can recall babysitting them when they were very young. My favorite memory of them is when they would put their blanket on my dogs head and sing “Elwood is a girl” in their fantastic southern accents. They are blossoming into beautiful young women and I’m so happy to be part of their lives.
Zeus is their 4 lb Chihuahua who thinks he is 10 feet tall and bulletproof, we have a lot in common.
Karson loves radio. (Using My Geek Voice) He’s been a fan ever since he was a kid when he kept detailed journals of every American Top 40 with Casey Kasem. (No More Geek Voice) He is a veritable jukebox of encyclopedic music knowledge (and an incredible DJ if you have a birthday or Bar Mitzvah coming up) and spends every moment trying to make our show better. This is what I love about him, I, much like a groom at the wedding, just have to show up.
Karson has given you the specifics as to how we met, but forgot my favorite part. When he met me, he really thought I should get into radio. He said “Hey ever think of doing radio?” to which I replied “Thanks, I have a real job” and that’s how our friendship began.
Karson is passionate, funny, and always has to be right, and in spite of this, he is one of my dearest friends. He has always had my back, and that’s a damn rare thing to find in a man. Look at that, I called him a man.
